2013 Competition.

We would really like to continue the Oldie Composers and make it an annual event, as we very much believe in providing an outlet for the older generation to showcase their talent. We would also like to raise a lot more money for our chosen charity, Barnardo's. There are a few issues to iron out before we can carry on with that.

• The costs of running the competition in the first year were not met from income
• The money raised from downloads was very disappointing.

I've expanded more on these HERE to try and explain why. So, how do we change that situation. The answer is the same for both. We need to generate lot's more interest in the competition, with lots of entries, to:

• Raise more money for Barnardo's through Entry Fees
• Increase income to cover the running costs of the competition

How do we get more entries and make it work? We are delaying the final decision on whether we continue until 1st October. Up to that time "OUR JOB" will be:

• Engaging with TV, Radio, Magazines etc to try and engage a "Media Partner" to publicise the "START" of the competition
• Assess the interest in another Oldie Composers competition from songwriters
